How to Embed Videos
#1
Hello!

If you wish to share a video from:
 • Youtube
 • Facebook
 • Dailymotion
 • Vimeo
 • Tiktok
 • Instagram
 • Google video
 • Twitch
OR
share music from:
 • Soundcloud
 • Spotify

All you need to do is paste the link into your post like below (without the spaces)
https: //www . youtube . com/watch?v=Ik1vLAUdRpU&

And when you post the post it will come up embedded like below

Great work, good to see you're still developing and updating the website.

Would be nice to have support for direct video/audio URL embeds like:
https://files.catbox.moe/eussji.webm I'd also appreciate PeerTube support. Via automatic URL or command

I don't use most of these services for privacy reasons and Instead opt for hosts like catbox.moe (which gives direct file links) or Peertube for my content.
This request is kinda niche, but I sure would appreciate it.

The forum still does support the tags that can be entered using the tool in the top bar of the post editor, but it only supports the main video places still.

Unfortunately the auto embed plugin I am using doesnt support either of the places you have mentioned either :/

It wouldn't have to support any site specifically just direct file embeds, so if a URL links directly to a file it can embed it, it's actually a fairly common feature.
I understand that it'd be too inconvenient to switch though, but no harm in asking.

Have you tried using the "link" feature?
